About Tom
Tom started up with us in 2017, joining his father Michael Kennedy in the family trade of mortgage broking. Tom loves his music, especially alt country and rock’n’roll. He strums the guitar and sings a little bit in a local original band called ‘Tuckshop’. Tom became a dad for the first time in 2022, and these days enjoys nothing more than hanging out with his little family, keeping the mind and body fit whilst soaking up the laid-back lifestyle that Adelaide has to offer.
Whilst completing his degree in Management & Marketing at UniSA, Tom keenly jumped into mortgage broking with his dad, knowing the positive impact he had made on the lives of many Australian homeowners. Tom has passionately tackled finance ever since, developing into a skilled adviser and key contributor to the Bernie Lewis Home Loans family. Tom was awarded the Bernie Lewis Compliance Award in 2022, which evidences his contribution to a high standard of responsible lending within the business. Outside of his main gig in finance, Tom also helps keep the Bernie Lewis brand fresh as a Marketing Consultant.
Tom is an easy-going guy that has a warm and honest approach. He embraces the opportunity to help all kinds of people navigate their way to homeownership in an enjoyable manner. Having recently built his first home, Tom specialises in construction lending, and can relate to those dreaming of building a new home. Tom strives to alleviate the stress associated with the home buying process, and keeping finance as painless as it can be.
With Michael taking more of a back seat these days, Tom is the face of Team Kennedy moving forward. With Tom on board, this ensures that the exceptional service Michael and Tom have provided to their clients for almost 2 decades, continues on for many years to come.
