Mark Simpson

Mark has over two decades of lending experience under his belt, a much-cherished fixture of the Bernie Lewis team since 2010. Outside of his refined skill as a broker, Mark is our resident food and wine buff, backed up by his degree in Oenology (or wine making for the rest of us). He’s one to immerse himself into a little history and culture whilst taste testing his way around the world. If you ever need the inside tip on a nice drop of wine or an amazing part of the world to experience, it’s not only the inside word on finance that Mark can deliver!

Prior to his lengthy history in finance, Mark dipped his toes briefly into the wine industry as he pursued his passion. We’re sure glad he pivoted to accept a position with a big 4 bank all those years ago, which would eventually lead him to joining our family of brokers. As broker, Mark is an astute researcher and is always up to date with the latest lender news, banking trends and product niches. Mark’s experience and knowledge enables him to provide sound and honest advice that leads to positive financial outcomes for his clients.

Mark preaches patience with the big financial decisions in life. Being careful, well-informed, and practical is key to sustainable lending decisions. His approach is one that will allow his clients to save money and minimise debt, which should ultimately reward you with a mortgage paid off before the original term. Mark would much rather give than receive, and it is exactly this mindset that makes him an adored figure amongst his loyal client base.
