More Places for the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme

The First Home Loan Deposit Scheme (FHLDS) has been an incredibly successful program offered by the Federal Government to assist first home buyers purchase their first home with a 5% deposit and without having to pay expensive Lenders Mortgage Insurance.

Each release has seen a block of 10,000 places offered, which have been snapped up by those eager to get into home ownership.

The Federal Budget has added yet another 10,000 places to be made available from 1 July 2021, specifically targeting first home buyers who build or buy a newly constructed home.

Not all Lenders are accredited to offer the FHLDS.

Like previous rounds, it’s expected that demand will be high.

If you are interested in securing access to a FHLDS grant, we recommend you discuss your finance needs and have an application ready to lodge as soon as the next round becomes available on 1 July.
