The First Home Loan Deposit Scheme released by the Federal Government to assist first home buyers get into their first home sooner was very popular in it’s first six months of operation.  

On 1 January the first 5,000 places were made available to a limited number of approved Lenders which were quickly snapped up, with another 5,000 places made available to the remaining approved Lenders the following month. The scheme proved enormously popular and unfortunately many people missed out on approval to participate in the scheme.

However, now in the next round, 10,000 places have been released. Demand is very high, particularly in light of the recently announced HomeBuilder scheme and other incentives available to first home buyers.

If you, or anyone you know, is potentially interested in taking part in the scheme to assist with the purchase of a first home, we strongly recommend that you talk to your Broker now to have the best chance of securing a place befoere the spots run out.
