What is an Accredited Mortgage Consultant (AMC)?
An Accredited Mortgage Consultant is a full member of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) who has met very stringent standards both initially and then, on an ongoing basis. These standards include, minimum education standards, probity checks, compulsory Professional Indemnity Insurance, membership of an ASIC approved External Dispute Resolution Scheme (i.e. COSL), strict adherence to the MFAA Code of Conduct and most importantly the requirement to meet continuing professional development standards on an ongoing basis.
By ensuring you only deal with an MFAA AMC you can be assured that the person you are dealing with operates professionally and with integrity. They also have mechanisms for the resolution of complaints and most importantly, have the most up to date knowledge on the mortgage industry, loan structuring and the loan products available.
All Bernie Lewis Home Loans mortgage consultants are full members of the MFAA and additionally each consultant is an MFAA Accredited Mortgage Consultant.

They will take you through our five step process whereby they determine your current financial situation and your personal needs. They will then find a selection of loan products suited to your situation and explain the features and fees associated with each product. Once you have chosen your loan product your consultant will assist you with the loan process, from application through to the settlement of your loan.
Importantly, our AMCs will keep in regular contact with you after settlement so that they are there to support you when you next need finance.
